Here are a few pictures from our trip to Ohio. We loved our visit with our brother, Ralae and the kids. They were all so cute together. Mercedes and Sawyer are two weeks apart so sharing was a struggle, but for the most part I think they enjoyed having a playmate for over a week. We wish Gavin was here for Joshua, but at least he knows they are best friends and he'll see him some day.

We visited Lake Erie one day and the kids loved it. The water is still very cold, but Sawyer loved filling up Mercedes' boots with the rocks. We also found some sea glass. Jaron was the best at that.
Aunt Ralae is a natural storyteller. She started to read to Joshua and Mercedes and Sawyer was naturally drawn to the story.
We visited the John Johnson Home in Hyrum, Ohio. This is where Joseph Smith received D&C 76 and had the vision of the three degrees of glory. We showed up really early and the boys found this really big rock to play on.
This is the porch that Joseph Smith preached from. This is also the house where he was dragged from and tarred and feathered. His adopted son died days later due to the exposure. It was amazing to be there and see what Joseph and Emma saw and think about the early church leaders and what they had to endure.
We also went to Cedar Point. It is a big amusement park out there. Mercedes laughed so hard on the rides, Sawyer was not so interested in them, but don't worry he'll grow into it. They were so cute on the little kid rides and seemed to enjoy themselves. We did too. The longest line we had to wait in was the first line and it was about 20 minutes!
Overall a great trip. We think the kids had lots of fun and we got to see some of the sites. Most of all it was great to be with family.

Cedar Point was our favorite family escape when we lived in Michigan. When we did a family Church history trip in 85 we went again and saw the John Johnson home too. It's a wonderful area and it looks like it was especially fun enjoying it with family.
Jessica thanks for keeping us posted on family events. I am so envious that you were are the John Johnson farm. Sometime I would like to go there and Kirtland.

Jessi - yes curling iron. I'm trying to get better at fun hairstyles so on vacation we always do each others hair since we have the time.
